I use my imaginary Garden of Rebus as a representation of life itself, a space that embodies both blessings and challenges, growth and renewal, with each blossom holding a specific meaning related to hope, resilience, or transformation. My approach to using the piano in my art, suggests that solitude when chosen, can be a space of profound appreciation and personal fulfillment. While the exact interpretation of symbolism is subjective and depends on the viewer, my intention of using the piano is to convey solitude without loneliness, highlighting the potential for deep engagement with oneself, free from external pressures or social expectations. The woman seated before the piano, where the garden and the piano dominate the space, is to convey her deep engagement with the instrument, her own thoughts and the importance of the creative process in her experience of serene solitude, or finding solace through music. The woman's hidden face is to suggest a universal human experience of introspection, allowing viewers to project themselves onto the figure and weave their own narrative of triumph and inspiration.
